Cat worked with the staff of the Music Connection in its early days doing interviews of industry people and soon had a column of his own: Theoretically Speaking, teaching pop music theory.

A couple of years later he switched to Anatomy Of A Hit, analysis of pop music styles and trends. In addition, he became a regular columnist for the LASS Musepaper which evolved into the NAS Musepaper where he'd break down pop styles and discuss songwriting issues. You'll see some of his classic work reprinted here in this website.
